Completing Judging Slips............ |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
I would like to remind every one to be extra careful when filling out your judging slips. Please print names of plants clearly, with names spelled correctly. If you are having a problem with any of the names please ask the Judging Chairman for help. Plants without parentage should be entered in the proper category as unnamed. Please continue to bring your blooming plants to share with all of the members. Sharing this great hobby with the membership is part of the joy of growing orchids. |

Please check your plants for pests & viruses before you bring them to meetings. We appreciate your willingness to share, but no one needs any mealy bugs, scale, aphids, etc.! If you see any on plants brought in, please help the plant owner to identify the pest and then isolate the infested plant(s) from the others. If you are not sure about the infestation, then check with another experienced member. |
SGVOH Judging Guidelines Members have been bringing lots of beautiful blooming plants. You should know you have two places the display your plants: (1) If the plant has been owned for 6 months or more, the plant can be put on the Judging Display Tables. (2) If the plant has been owned for less than 6 months, it may be displayed on the New Arrivals Display Tables. These plants will not be judged, but the owner will receive a raffle ticket for each plant displayed here. Any plant that was judged should not be brought back for judging until 6 months and its blooms again. |
